Important Information Regarding R-22 Refrigerant

We would like to bring to your attention some changes in the industry that may effect your Central A/C system. If you have a system that is still dependent on R-22 refrigerant, it’s time to think about replacing it with a new 410A refrigerant system. R-22 refrigerant is being phased out by the EPA because it is not environmentally friendly. Phase out completion will be done by the year 2020, which is causing our cost of R-22 to rise rapidly due to government imposed taxes. Our billing price to the consumer as of 4/10/17 is already over $100.00 per pound and will only continue to rise.
You may also be hearing about some replacement refrigerants that have been introduced to take the place of R-22, but that brings up other questions. The cost to convert your system correctly with the 422D or 438A replacement will be upwards of $1,200.00 with no guarantee that it will work after replacement. Just to make you aware, there is NO replacement refrigerant that can just be added to an R-22 system.
