We get you the right propane tank

When it comes to propane tanks, it is most definitely not one size fits all. The size of your propane tank will depend on how many propane appliances are in your home or business, and how often you want propane deliveries.

The propane professionals at Woodruff Energy are experienced in making sure your propane tank fits those needs. Here are the sizes of propane tanks to give you an idea of what you may need:

  • 8-gallon forklift tanks: As the name implies, these are used to power commercial forklifts. Woodruff Energy fills your forklift tanks on-site!
  • 100-pound propane tank: These are small tanks for people who are only running one propane appliance like a propane stove or cooktop and wall ovens or an indoor propane fireplace.
  • 200-pound or 48-gallon propane tank: If you use propane for space heating, clothes drying, cooking or water heating, this is a size tank to consider.
  • 420-pound or 100-gallon propane tank: When you have two or three propane appliances in your home, such as a propane fireplace, stove, clothes dryer or domestic hot water heater, this may be the right size for you.
  • 250-gallon propane tank: This size is for when you have three or more propane appliances in your home, but is generally not large enough for whole-house heating.
  • 330-au/ug or 265-gallon propane tank: This is a commercial propane tank used for space heating, cooking and water heating.
  • 500-gallon propane tank: If you heat your home with propane and use propane for appliances like a stove, domestic hot water heater or fireplace, this is the size for you.
  • 1,000-gallon propane tank (and larger!): These propane tanks start at 16 feet long and are usually used at commercial sites. But if you have a large home with propane heating, many propane appliances and propane pool and/or spa heaters, you may need this.

Whatever size propane tank you need, Woodruff Energy offers free propane tank installation to existing gas lines!

And when you need a propane tank refill, Woodruff Energy can provide you with reliable propane delivery with options such as Automatic Delivery.
