The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) was created to help low-income families and individuals who are having difficulty paying their heating and cooling bills. Renters who have their heating costs included in their rent may also qualify for energy assistance.

The 2024 LIHEAP will reopen to the public on October 1, 2023.
